Stanozolol

1,2,3,3a,3b,4,5,5a,6,7,10,10a,10b,11,12,12a-hexadecahydro-1,10a,12a-Trimethyl-cyclopenta[7,8]phenanthro[2,3-c]pyrazol-1-ol

C21H32N2O (328.2515)

Stanozolol is only found in individuals that have used or taken this drug. Stanozolol has is a synthetic anabolic steroid with therapeutic uses in treating hereditary angioedema. Stanozolol was first synthesized by Clinton et al. in 1959, as a heterocyclic anabolic androgenic steroid. The structure of Stanozolol differs from endogenous steroid hormones and most commercially available anabolic steroids. It most closely resembles methyl testosterone. Instead of the 3-ketogroup in methyltestosterone, there is a pyrazole ring fused to the androstane ring system. This slightly different structure has the disadvantage of making extraction and isolation of the molecule from matrices more difficult. Like most other anabolic steroids, Stanozolol has poor gas chromatographic behavior and is difficult to detect in urine, because of renal clearance and low urinary excretion. This is due to the rapid metabolization, leading to low concentration levels of the parent compound found in urine. Therefore, most research studies had focused on the detection of urinary metabolites. Androgens are drugs, derived from the natural male sex hormone testosterone, with high anabolic potential and minimized androgenic activity. It has been abused by several high profile professional athletes. Stanozolol binds to androgen receptors, such as membrane bound receptor proteins LAGS and stanozolol-binding protein (STBP). Anabolic steroids stimulate protein synthesis, resulting in an acceleration of the food conversion rate and increasing muscle growth, body mass and enhanced performance. Androgens can be used as therapeutics, because they accelerate the recovery of protein deficiency and protein-wasting disorders (e.g. osteoporosis), but they are also widely abused in doping, as well in animals as in men. N-Acetylarylamine

N-Acetylaminobenzene

C8H9NO (135.0684)

N-Acetylarylamine is an odourless solid chemical of leaf or flake-like appearance. It is also known as acetanilide, N-phenylacetamide, acetanil, or acetanilid, and was formerly known by the trade name Antifebrin. N-Acetylarylamine has analgesic and fever-reducing properties; it is in the same class of drugs as acetaminophen (paracetamol). Under the name acetanilid it formerly figured in the formula of a number of patent medicines and over the counter drugs. In 1948, Julius Axelrod and Bernard Brodie discovered that acetanilide is much more toxic in these applications than other drugs, causing methemoglobinemia and ultimately doing damage to the liver and kidneys. As such, acetanilide has largely been replaced by less toxic drugs, in particular acetaminophen, which is a metabolite of acetanilide and whose use Axelrod and Brodie suggested in the same study. Testosterone enanthate

C26H40O3 (400.2977)

testosterone enanthate is used in androgen substitution to replace testosterone at levels as close to physiological levels as is possible. For some androgen-dependent functions testosterone is a pro-hormone, peripherally converted to 5alpha-dihydrotestosterone (DHT) and 17beta-estradiol (E2), of which the levels preferably should be within normal physiological ranges. Furthermore, androgens should have a good safety profile without adverse effects on the prostate, serum lipids, liver or respiratory function, and they must be convenient to use and patient-friendly, with a relative independence from medical services. Natural testosterone is viewed as the best androgen for substitution in hypogonadal men. testosterone enanthate is used to treat male hypogonadism. Male hypogonadism is one of the most common endocrinologic syndromes. The diagnosis is based on clinical signs and symptoms plus laboratory confirmation via the measurement of low morning testosterone levels on two different occasions. Serum luteinizing hormone and follicle-stimulating hormone levels distinguish between primary (hypergonadotropic) and secondary (hypogonadotropic) hypogonadism. Osteoporosis in male hypogonadism: responses to androgen substitution differ among men with primary and secondary hypogonadism. In primary hypogonadal men the on bone mineral density (BMD) responds dose dependently to testosterone substitution, whereas in secondary hypogonadism only testosterone enanthate treatment significantly increased the BMD. In all mammalian species studied to date, testosterone has been found to be the predominant intratesticular steroid. In volunteers receiving hormonal contraception by using a combination of testosterone enanthate and levonorgestrel, there is a profound reduction of both intratesticular testosterone concentration and androgen bioactivity. High doses of testosterone enanthate can normalize hematocrit values of maintenance hemodialysis patients with replenished bone marrow iron stores. testosterone enanthate is classified as a prohibited substance by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and its use may be detected by way of the urinary testosterone/epitestosterone (T/E) ratio. (PMID: 16185098, 16467270, 15329035, 17530941, 17484401, 4028529, 12792150) [HMDB] Testosterone enanthate is used in androgen substitution to replace testosterone at levels as close to physiological levels as is possible. Phthalic acid is an aromatic dicarboxylic acid, with formula C6H4(COOH)2. Phthalic acid is used mainly in the form of the anhydride to produce other chemicals such as dyes, perfumes, saccharin, phthalates and many other useful products. Phthalic acid, when found in tissues or biofluids arises from exposure to these phthalate products. Phthalate is an environmental chemical of heightened public concern because reports of its potential risk to male reproductive health (PMID 16804814), being significantly associated with reduced sperm concentration to pesticide concentration in mens urine (PMID 16804812). Within the reproductive tract, the male is exquisitely vulnerable to the effects of anti-androgens during development due the reliance on the synthesis and action of androgens for the masculinization of the male reproductive tract. The ability of phthalates to suppress androgen synthesis during development and to induce testicular dysgenesis together with cryptorchidism and hypospadias has raised considerable concern. (PMID 15016950) [HMDB]. Phthalic acid is an aromatic dicarboxylic acid, with formula C6H4(COOH)2. 20alpha-Dihydroprogesterone

(1S,2R,10S,11S,14S,15S)-14-[(1S)-1-hydroxyethyl]-2,15-dimethyltetracyclo[8.7.0.0^{2,7}.0^{11,15}]heptadec-6-en-5-one

C21H32O2 (316.2402)

20alpha-Dihydroprogesterone is a biologically active 20-alpha-reduced metabolite of progesterone. It is converted from progesterone to 20-alpha-hydroxypregn-4-en-3-one by the 20-alpha-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase in the corpus luteum and the placenta. Progesterone is a C-21 steroid hormone involved in the female menstrual cycle, pregnancy (supports gestation), and embryogenesis of humans and other species. Progesterone belongs to a class of hormones called progestagens, and is the major naturally occurring human progestagen (Wikipedia). During implantation and gestation, progesterone appears to decrease the maternal immune response to allow for the acceptance of the pregnancy. Progesterone decreases contractility of the uterine smooth muscle. The fetus metabolizes placental progesterone in the production of adrenal mineralo- and glucosteroids. A drop in progesterone levels is possibly one step that facilitates the onset of labour. In addition, progesterone inhibits lactation during pregnancy. The fall in progesterone levels following delivery is one of the triggers for milk production (Wikipedia). A biologically active 20-alpha-reduced metabolite of progesterone. Hypotaurine

2-aminoethane-1-sulfinic acid

C2H7NO2S (109.0197)

Hypotaurine belongs to the class of organic compounds known as sulfinic acids. Sulfinic acids are compounds containing a sulfinic acid functional group, with the general structure RS(=O)OH (R = organyl, not H). Hypotaurine exists in all living species, ranging from bacteria to humans. Within humans, hypotaurine participates in a number of enzymatic reactions. In particular, hypotaurine can be biosynthesized from cysteamine; which is catalyzed by the enzyme 2-aminoethanethiol dioxygenase. In addition, hypotaurine can be biosynthesized from 3-sulfinoalanine through its interaction with the enzyme cysteine sulfinic acid decarboxylase. In humans, hypotaurine is involved in taurine and hypotaurine metabolism. [Spectral] Hypotaurine (exact mass = 109.01975) and Cytosine (exact mass = 111.04326) were not completely separated on HPLC under the present analytical conditions as described in AC$XXX. Additionally some of the peaks in this data contains dimers and other unidentified ions. Hypotaurine is a product of enzyme cysteamine dioxygenase [EC 1.13.11.19] in taurine and hypotaurine metabolism pathway (KEGG). It may function as an antioxidant and a protective agent under physiological conditions (PMID 14992269). [HMDB] Hypotaurine (2-aminoethanesulfinic acid), an intermediate in taurine biosynthesis from cysteine in astrocytes, is an endogenous inhibitory amino acid of the glycine receptor. 11-Dehydro-thromboxane B2, a stable thromboxane metabolite, is a full agonist of chemoattractant receptor-homologous molecule expressed on TH2 cells (CRTH2) in human eosinophils and basophils. Given its production in the allergic lung, antagonism of the 11-dehydro- thromboxane B2/CRTH2axis may be of therapeutic relevance. (PMID 14668348)Thromboxanes are eicosanoids. The eicosanoids consist of the prostaglandins (PGs), thromboxanes (TXs), leukotrienes (LTs), and lipoxins (LXs). The PGs and TXs are collectively identified as prostanoids. Prostaglandins were originally shown to be synthesized in the prostate gland, thromboxanes from platelets (thrombocytes), and leukotrienes from leukocytes, hence the derivation of their names. All mammalian cells except erythrocytes synthesize eicosanoids. These molecules are extremely potent, able to cause profound physiological effects at very dilute concentrations. All eicosanoids function locally at the site of synthesis, through receptor-mediated G-protein linked signalling pathways. 11-Dehydro-thromboxane B2, a stable thromboxane metabolite, is a full agonist of chemoattractant receptor-homologous molecule expressed on TH2 cells (CRTH2) in human eosinophils and basophils. Cyclohexan

hexahydro-Benzene

C6H12 (84.0939)

Diluent in colour additive mixtures for food use. Cyclohexane is found in kohlrabi. Cyclohexane is found in kohlrabi. Diluent in colour additive mixtures for food us Cyclohexane appears as a clear colorless liquid with a petroleum-like odor. Used to make nylon, as a solvent, paint remover, and to make other chemicals. Flash point -4 °F. Density 6.5 lb / gal (less than water) and insoluble in water. Vapors heavier than air. Cyclohexane is an alicyclic hydrocarbon comprising a ring of six carbon atoms; the cyclic form of hexane, used as a raw material in the manufacture of nylon. It has a role as a non-polar solvent. It is a cycloalkane and a volatile organic compound. Cyclohexane is an organic compound with the molecular formula C6H12. It is a colorless, flammable liquid with a distinctive sweet odor. Cyclohexane is a saturated hydrocarbon, consisting of a six-membered ring of carbon atoms, with each carbon atom bonded to two hydrogen atoms. The carbon-carbon bonds in the ring are of equal length and angle, giving cyclohexane a regular, symmetrical structure. Due to its ring structure, cyclohexane is more stable than the open-chain aliphatic hydrocarbons with the same number of carbon atoms. It is widely used in industry as a solvent for oils, waxes, and alkaloids, and as a starting material in the production of various chemicals, including adipic acid, cyclohexanol, and cyclohexene. Cyclohexane is also used in the manufacturing of nylon and other synthetic fibers. Cyclohexane exhibits a unique conformational behavior, where it can exist in several different forms, known as conformers. The two most stable conformers are the chair form and the boat form. The chair conformation is the most stable and is characterized by alternating axial and equatorial hydrogen atoms, while the boat conformation has two pairs of hydrogen atoms that are close together, creating strain in the molecule. In terms of its physical properties, cyclohexane has a boiling point of around 80.7°C and a melting point of approximately 6.47°C. It is relatively insoluble in water but miscible with many organic solvents. Cyclohexane is non-polar and therefore does not dissolve ionic compounds or highly polar molecules. Cyclohexane. (2S)-2,3-dihydroxypropyl (5Z,8Z,11Z,14Z)-icosa-5,8,11,14-tetraenoate

C23H38O4 (378.277)

MG(20:4(5Z,8Z,11Z,14Z)/0:0/0:0) is a monoacylglyceride. A monoglyceride, more correctly known as a monoacylglycerol, is a glyceride consisting of one fatty acid chain covalently bonded to a glycerol molecule through an ester linkage. Monoacylglycerol can be broadly divided into two groups; 1-monoacylglycerols (or 3-monoacylglycerols) and 2-monoacylglycerols, depending on the position of the ester bond on the glycerol moiety. Normally the 1-/3-isomers are not distinguished from each other and are termed alpha-monoacylglycerols, while the 2-isomers are beta-monoacylglycerols. Monoacylglycerols are formed biochemically via release of a fatty acid from diacylglycerol by diacylglycerol lipase or hormone sensitive lipase. Monoacylglycerols are broken down by monoacylglycerol lipase. They tend to be minor components only of most plant and animal tissues, and indeed would not be expected to accumulate because their strong detergent properties would have a disruptive effect on membranes. 2-Monoacylglycerols are a major end product of the intestinal digestion of dietary fats in animals via the enzyme pancreatic lipase. They are taken up directly by the intestinal cells and converted to triacylglycerols via the monoacylglycerol pathway before being transported in lymph to the liver. Mono- and Diglycerides are commonly added to commercial food products in small quantities. They act as emulsifiers, helping to mix ingredients such as oil and water that would not otherwise blend well.

Cyclohexane

cyclohexane

C6H12 (84.0939)

Cyclohexane appears as a clear colorless liquid with a petroleum-like odor.
