C24H42O21 (666.2218)

Maltotetraose belongs to the class of organic compounds known as oligosaccharides. These are carbohydrates made up of 3 to 10 monosaccharide units linked to each other through glycosidic bonds. Maltotetraose exists in all living organisms, ranging from bacteria to humans. Outside of the human body, maltotetraose has been detected, but not quantified in several different foods, such as welsh onions, kales, small-leaf lindens, other bread, and romaine lettuces. Maltotetraose is a normal human oligo saccharide present in plasma, but is elevated in cases of Pompe disease (PMID 15886040). Alpha-D-Glcp-(1->4)-alpha-D-Glcp-(1->4)-alpha-D-Glcp-(1->4)-D-Glcp is a maltotetraose tetrasaccharide consisting of three alpha-D-glucopyranose residues and a D-glucopyranose residue joined in sequence by (1->4) glycosidic bonds. Amylotetraose is a natural product found in Streptomyces with data available. Constituent of corn syrup. Product of action of a-amylase on starch. Maltooligosaccharide mixtures are important food additives (sweeteners, gelling agents and viscosity modifiers) D000890 - Anti-Infective Agents > D000900 - Anti-Bacterial Agents Maltotetraose can be used as a substrate for the enzyme-coupled determination of amylase activity in biological fluids. C18H26O2 (274.1933)

Nandrolone is a C18 steroid with androgenic and anabolic properties. It is generally prepared from alkyl ethers of estradiol to resemble testosterone, but it has one less carbon atom at the 19 position (Pubchem). Nandrolone is an anabolic steroid occurring naturally in the human body, albeit in small quantities. Nandrolone is most commonly sold commercially as its decanoate ester (Deca-Durabolin) and less commonly as a phenylpropionate ester (Durabolin). Nandrolone use is indirectly detectable in urine tests by testing for the presence of 19-norandrosterone, a metabolism product of this molecule. The International Olympic Committee has set a limit of 2 ng per ml of urine as the upper limit, beyond which an athlete is suspected of doping (Wikipedia). C22H32O3 (344.2351)

Medroxyprogesterone, or MP is a progestin (synthetic progestogen). MP is not used medically, as it is over two orders of magnitude less potent than medroxyprogesterone acetate (MPA); a derivative of MP (PMID: 16784762). MP may be formed via the metabolism of MPA. Medroxyprogesterone acetate is used to treat conditions such as absent or irregular menstrual periods, or abnormal uterine bleeding. Synthetic progestogens are widely used to simulate the effects of progesterone; a natural female sex hormone. Progesterone is essential for endometrial receptivity, embryo implantation, and the successful establishment of pregnancy. A low progesterone concentration or an insufficient response to progesterone can cause infertility and pregnancy loss (PMID: 20104424). In addition to progestagenic activity, MP is also a weak antiandrogen in vitro (PMID: 29990947). Medroxyprogesterone is only found in individuals that have used or taken MPA. Erythritol

1,2,3,4-Butanetetrol,(2R,3R)-rel-

C4H10O4 (122.0579)

Erythritol is a sugar alcohol (or polyol), used as a food additive and sugar substitute. It is naturally occurring and is made from corn using enzymes and fermentation. Its formula is C4H10O4, or HO(CH2)(CHOH)2(CH2)OH; specifically, one particular stereoisomer with that formula. Erythritol is 60–70\\\\\% as sweet as sucrose (table sugar), yet it is almost noncaloric and does not affect blood sugar or cause tooth decay. Erythritol occurs widely in nature and has been found to occur naturally in several foods including wine, sake, beer, watermelon, pear, grape, and soy sauce. Evidence indicates that erythritol also exists endogenously in the tissues and body fluids of humans and animals. Erythritol is absorbed from the proximal intestine by passive diffusion in a manner similar to that of many low molecular weight organic molecules which do not have associated active transport systems. The rate of absorption is related to their molecular size. It passes through the intestinal membranes at a faster rate than larger molecules such as mannitol or glucose. In diabetics, erythritol has also been shown to be rapidly absorbed and excreted unchanged in the urine. Following absorption, ingested erythritol is rapidly distributed throughout the body and has been reported to occur in hepatocytes, pancreatic cells, and vascular smooth muscle cells. Erythritol also has been reported to cross the human placenta and to pass slowly from the plasma into the brain and cerebrospinal fluid (PMID:9862657). Erythritol is found to be associated with ribose-5-phosphate isomerase deficiency, which is an inborn error of metabolism. Bulk sweetener with good taste props. Not metabolised, excreted unchanged in urine. Less sweet than sucrose. Use not yet permitted in most countries (1997). GRAS status for use as a sweetener, thickener, stabiliser, humectant, etc. in food meso-Erythritol is a sugar alcohol that occurs naturally in a variety of foods (e.g., pear, watermelon), is 60-80\\% as sweet as sucrose, and is an approved low-calorie sweetener food additive[1]. meso-Erythritol is a sugar alcohol that occurs naturally in a variety of foods (e.g., pear, watermelon), is 60-80\% as sweet as sucrose, and is an approved low-calorie sweetener food additive[1].

C25H40N7O17P3S (835.1414)

Methacrylyl-CoA, also known as methacryloyl-CoA, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as organic pyrophosphates. These are organic compounds containing the pyrophosphate oxoanion, with the structure OP([O-])(=O)OP(O)([O-])=O. Thus, methacrylyl-CoA is considered to be a fatty ester lipid molecule. Methacrylyl-CoA is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral. Methacrylyl-CoA has been detected, but not quantified in, several different foods, such as beechnuts, hyacinth beans, devilfish, eggplants, and cupuaçus. This could make methacrylyl-CoA a potential biomarker for the consumption of these foods. Methacrylyl-CoA is a metabolite in the valine, leucine, and isoleucine degradation pathway and highly reacts with free thiol compounds (PMID: 14684172). Cirrhosis results in a significant decrease in 3-hydroxyisobutyryl-CoA hydrolase activity, a key enzyme in the valine catabolic pathway that plays an important role in the catabolism of a potentially toxic compound, methacrylyl-CoA, formed as an intermediate in the catabolism of valine and isobutyrate (PMID: 8938168). Methacrylyl-coenzyme a, also known as methylacrylyl-coa or 2-methylprop-2-enoyl-coa, is a member of the class of compounds known as acyl coas. Acyl coas are organic compounds containing a coenzyme A substructure linked to an acyl chain. Thus, methacrylyl-coenzyme a is considered to be a fatty ester lipid molecule. Methacrylyl-coenzyme a is slightly soluble (in water) and an extremely strong acidic compound (based on its pKa). Methacrylyl-coenzyme a can be found in a number of food items such as tea leaf willow, mexican groundcherry, new zealand spinach, and parsnip, which makes methacrylyl-coenzyme a a potential biomarker for the consumption of these food products.

Enflurane

Enflurane is only found in individuals that have used or taken this drug. It is an extremely stable inhalation anesthetic that allows rapid adjustments of anesthesia depth with little change in pulse or respiratory rate. [PubChem]Enflurane induces a reduction in junctional conductance by decreasing gap junction channel opening times and increasing gap junction channel closing times. Enflurane also activates calcium dependent ATPase in the sarcoplasmic reticulum by increasing the fluidity of the lipid membrane. It also appears to bind the D subunit of ATP synthase and NADH dehydogenase. Enflurane also binds to and angonizes the GABA receptor, the large conductance Ca2+ activated potassium channel, the glycine receptor, and antagonizes the glutamate receptor receptor. These yield a decreased depolarization and therefore, tissue excitability which results in anesthesia. Mesitylene

1,3,5-Trimethylbenzene (mesitylene)

C9H12 (120.0939)

Mesitylene or 1,3,5-trimethylbenzene is a derivative of benzene with three methyl substituents symmetrically placed on the ring. Isomeric trimethylbenzenes include hemimellitene (1,2,3-trimethylbenzene) and pseudocumene (1,2,4-trimethylbenzene). All three compounds have the formula C6H3(CH3)3, which is commonly abbreviated C6H3Me3. Mesitylene is a colourless liquid with sweet aromatic odor. It is a component of coal tar, which is its traditional source. It is a precursor to diverse fine chemicals. The mesityl group (Mes) is a substituent with the formula C6H3Me3.

Isopren

2-methylbuta-1,3-diene

C5H8 (68.0626)

Isoprene, also known as 2-methyl-1,3-butadiene or 2-methyldivinyl, is a member of the class of compounds known as branched unsaturated hydrocarbons. Branched unsaturated hydrocarbons are hydrocarbons that contains one or more unsaturated carbon atoms, and an aliphatic branch. Isoprene can be found in carrot, sweet orange, and wild carrot, which makes isoprene a potential biomarker for the consumption of these food products. Isoprene, or 2-methyl-1,3-butadiene, is a common organic compound with the formula CH2=C(CH3)−CH=CH2. In its pure form it is a colorless volatile liquid. Isoprene is produced by many plants, and its polymers are the main component of natural rubber. C. G. Williams named the compound in 1860 after obtaining it from thermal decomposition (pyrolysis) of natural rubber; he correctly deduced the empirical formula C5H8 .
