2-O-methylswertianin is a member of the class of xanthones that is swertianin in which the hydroxy group at position 2 has been replaced by a methoxy group. It has a role as a plant metabolite. It is a member of xanthones, an aromatic ether and a polyphenol. It is functionally related to a swertianin.
1,8-Dihydroxy-2,6-dimethoxy-9H-xanthen-9-one is a natural product found in Gentiana orbicularis, Swertia japonica, and other organisms with data available.
