描述信息

Methaqualone, also known as optimil or ortonal, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as quinazolines. Quinazolines are compounds containing a quinazoline moiety, which is made up of two fused six-member aromatic rings, a benzene ring and a pyrimidine ring. Methaqualone is a drug which is used for the treatment of insomnia, and as a sedative and muscle relaxant. Methaqualone exists as a solid and is considered to be practically insoluble (in water) and relatively neutral.
