Ketoprofen
Ketoprofen is only found in individuals that have used or taken this drug. It is a propionic acid derivative and is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agent (NSAIA) with analgesic and antipyretic properties. The anti-inflammatory effects of ketoprofen are believed to be due to inhibition cylooxygenase-2 (COX-2), an enzyme involved in prostaglandin synthesis via the arachidonic acid pathway. This results in decreased levels of prostaglandins that mediate pain, fever and inflammation. Ketoprofen is a non-specific cyclooxygenase inhibitor and inhibition of COX-1 is thought to confer some of its side effects, such as GI upset and ulceration. Ketoprofen is thought to have anti-bradykinin activity, as well as lysosomal membrane-stabilizing action. Antipyretic effects may be due to action on the hypothalamus, resulting in an increased peripheral blood flow, vasodilation, and subsequent heat dissipation. Ceftriaxone
Ceftriaxone is only found in individuals that have used or taken this drug. It is a broad-spectrum cephalosporin antibiotic with a very long half-life and high penetrability to meninges, eyes and inner ears. [PubChem]Ceftriaxone works by inhibiting the mucopeptide synthesis in the bacterial cell wall. The beta-lactam moiety of Ceftriaxone binds to carboxypeptidases, endopeptidases, and transpeptidases in the bacterial cytoplasmic membrane. These enzymes are involved in cell-wall synthesis and cell division. By binding to these enzymes, Ceftriaxone results in the formation of of defective cell walls and cell death. Penicillin G
Penicillin G is narrow spectrum antibiotic used to treat infections caused by susceptible bacteria. It is a natural penicillin antibiotic that is administered intravenously or intramuscularly due to poor oral absorption. Penicillin G may also be used in some cases as prophylaxis against susceptible organisms. Natural penicillins are considered the drugs of choice for several infections caused by susceptible gram positive aerobic organisms, such as Streptococcus pneumoniae, groups A, B, C and G streptococci, nonenterococcal group D streptococci, viridans group streptococci, and non-penicillinase producing staphylococcus. Aminoglycosides may be added for synergy against group B streptococcus (S. agalactiae), S. viridans, and Enterococcus faecalis. The natural penicillins may also be used as first or second line agents against susceptible gram positive aerobic bacilli such as Bacillus anthracis, Corynebacterium diphtheriae, and Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae. Natural penicillins have limited activity against gram negative organisms; however, they may be used in some cases to treat infections caused by Neisseria meningitidis and Pasteurella. They are not generally used to treat anaerobic infections. Resistance patterns, susceptibility and treatment guidelines vary across regions. (R)-1-Octen-3-ol
Isolated from a number of essential oils, e.g. lavender, leek, mint and mushrooms. Food odorant responsible for typical mushroom odour. Flavouring ingredient. (R)-1-Octen-3-ol is found in mushrooms, onion-family vegetables, and herbs and spices. (R)-1-Octen-3-ol, also known as 1-vinylhexanol or 3-hydroxy-1-octene, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as fatty alcohols. These are aliphatic alcohols consisting of a chain of a least six carbon atoms Oct-1-en-3-ol, a fatty acid fragrant, is a self-stimulating oxylipin messenger. streptonigrin
Nigrin b, also known as rufocromomycin or nigrin, is a member of the class of compounds known as bipyridines and oligopyridines. Bipyridines and oligopyridines are organic compounds containing two pyridine rings linked to each other. Nigrin b is practically insoluble (in water) and a moderately acidic compound (based on its pKa). Nigrin b can be found in black elderberry, which makes nigrin b a potential biomarker for the consumption of this food product. rRNA N-glycosylase (EC 3.2.2.22, ribosomal ribonucleate N-glycosidase, nigrin b, RNA N-glycosidase, rRNA N-glycosidase, ricin, momorcochin-S, Mirabilis antiviral protein, gelonin, saporins) is an enzyme with systematic name rRNA N-glycohydrolase. Mezlocillin
Mezlocillin is only found in individuals that have used or taken this drug. It is a semisynthetic ampicillin-derived acylureido penicillin. It has been proposed for infections with certain anaerobes and may be useful in inner ear, bile, and CNS infections. [PubChem]By binding to specific penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) located inside the bacterial cell wall, mezlocillin inhibits the third and last stage of bacterial cell wall synthesis. Cell lysis is then mediated by bacterial cell wall autolytic enzymes such as autolysins; it is possible that mezlocillin interferes with an autolysin inhibitor.
