Methyl linoleate is a fatty acid methyl ester of linoleic acid. It has been isolated from Neolitsea daibuensis. It has a role as a plant metabolite. It is functionally related to a linoleic acid.
Methyl linoleate is a natural product found in Tussilago farfara, Azadirachta indica, and other organisms with data available.
Methyl linoleate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as lineolic acids and derivatives. These are derivatives of lineolic acid. Lineolic acid is a polyunsaturated omega-6 18 carbon long fatty acid, with two CC double bonds at the 9- and 12-positions.
A fatty acid methyl ester of linoleic acid. It has been isolated from Neolitsea daibuensis.
Methyl linoleate, a major active constituent of Sageretia thea?fruit (HFSF), is a major anti-melanogenic compound. Methyl linoleate downregulates microphthalmia-associated transcription factor (MITF)?and tyrosinase-related proteins[1].
