Phytyl diphosphate participates in biosynthesis of steroids as well as porphyrin and metabolism. Phytyl diphosphate is produced from Geranylgeranyl diphosphate in biosynthesis of steroids. [HMDB]. Phytyl diphosphate is found in many foods, some of which are highbush blueberry, wild leek, evergreen huckleberry, and allium (onion).
Phytyl diphosphate participates in biosynthesis of steroids as well as porphyrin and metabolism. Phytyl diphosphate is produced from Geranylgeranyl diphosphate in biosynthesis of steroids.
