Chlorpheniramine
Chlorpheniramine is a histamine H1 antagonist used in allergic reactions, hay fever, rhinitis, urticaria, and asthma. It has also been used in veterinary applications. One of the most widely used of the classical antihistaminics, it generally causes less drowsiness and sedation than Promethazine. -- Pubchem; Chlorphenamine or chlorpheniramine, commonly marketed as its salt chlorphenamine maleate (Chlor- Trimeton, Piriton, Chlor- Tripolon), is a first generation antihistamine used in the prevention of the symptoms of allergic conditions such as rhinitis and urticaria.- wikipedia. Disopyramide
A class I anti-arrhythmic agent (one that interferes directly with the depolarization of the cardiac membrane and thus serves as a membrane-stabilizing agent) with a depressant action on the heart similar to that of guanidine. It also possesses some anticholinergic and local anesthetic properties. Pheniramine
Pheniramine is only found in individuals that have used or taken this drug. It is one of the histamine H1 antagonists with little sedative action. It is used in treatment of hay fever, rhinitis, allergic dermatoses, and pruritus. [PubChem]Antihistamines such as pheniramine appear to compete with histamine for histamine H1- receptor sites on effector cells. The antihistamines antagonize those pharmacological effects of histamine which are mediated through activation of H1- receptor sites and thereby reduce the intensity of allergic reactions and tissue injury response involving histamine release. Antihistamines suppress the histamine-induced wheal (swelling) and flare (vasodilation) response by blocking the binding of histamine to its receptors on nerves, vascular smooth muscle, glandular cells, endothelium, and mast cells. They effectively exert competitive antagonism of histamine for H1-receptors. Dexbrompheniramine
Dexbrompheniramine is only found in individuals that have used or taken this drug. It is an antihistamine used to treat allergic conditions such as hay fever or urticaria. Dexbrompheniramine competitively binds to the histamine H1-receptor. It competes with histamine for the normal H1-receptor sites on effector cells of the gastrointestinal tract, blood vessels and respiratory tract. This blocks the action of endogenous histamine, which subsequently leads to temporary relief of the negative symptoms brought on by histamine.
