Glucoraphanin belongs to the class of organic compounds known as alkylglucosinolates. These are organic compounds containing a glucosinolate moiety that carries an alkyl chain. Outside of the human body, glucoraphanin has been detected, but not quantified in, several different foods, such as radish, common cabbages, Brassicas, Chinese cabbages, and cabbages. This could make glucoraphanin a potential biomarker for the consumption of these foods. Isolated from radish (Raphanus sativus) and Brassica species seeds or tops.
