Cyclo(Phe-Pro)

(3S-trans)-3-Benzylhexahydropyrrolo(1,2-a)pyrazine-1,4-dione

C14H16N2O2 (244.1211716)

Cyclo(L-Phe-L-Pro), isolated from Pseudomonas fluorescens and Pseudomonas alcaligenes cell-free culture supernatants is an antifungal cyclic dipeptide[1]. Cyclo(L-Phe-L-Pro) inhibits IFN-β production by interfering with retinoic-acid-inducible gene-I (RIG-I) activation[2]. Cyclo(L-Phe-L-Pro) exhibits free-radical scavenging activity with the IC50 of 24 μM in the DPPH assay[3]. Cyclo(Leu-Phe)

(3S,6S)-3-benzyl-6-(2-methylpropyl)-3,6-dihydropyrazine-2,5-diol

C15H20N2O2 (260.15247)

Cyclo(leu-phe), also known as cyclo(Phe-leu) or cFL, is classified as an alpha amino acid or an Alpha amino acid derivative. Alpha amino acids are amino acids in which the amino group is attached to the carbon atom immediately adjacent to the carboxylate group (alpha carbon), or a derivative thereof. Cyclo(leu-phe) is considered to be a practically insoluble (in water) and a moderately acidic compound. Cyclo(leu-phe) can be found in feces.
