Hemorphin-4 is an endogenous 4-residue opioid peptide of the hemorphin family which possesses antinociceptive properties. It has the amino acid sequence Tyr-Pro-Trp-Thr. It is derived from the β-chain of hemoglobin in the bloodstream.
