Brinzolamide

(R)-4-(Ethylamino)-3,4-dihydro-2-(3-methoxypropyl)-2H-thieno(3,2-e)-1,2-thiazine-6-sulfonamide 1,1-dioxide

C12H21N3O5S3 (383.0643296)

Brinzolamide is a highly specific, non-competitive, reversible carbonic anhydrase inhibitor. Carbonic anhydrase (CA) is an enzyme found in many tissues of the body including the eye. It catalyzes the reversible reaction involving the hydration of carbon dioxide and the dehydration of carbonic acid. In humans, carbonic anhydrase exists as a number of isoenzymes, the most active being carbonic anhydrase II (CA-II). Inhibition of carbonic anhydrase in the ciliary processes of the eye decreases aqueous humor secretion, presumably by slowing the formation of bicarbonate ions with subsequent reduction in sodium and fluid transport. The result is a reduction in intraocular pressure. Brinzolamide is indicated in the treatment of elevated intraocular pressure in patients with ocular hypertension or open-angle glaucoma. Tenoxicam

(3Z)-3-{hydroxy[(pyridin-2-yl)amino]methylidene}-2-methyl-2H,3H,4H-1λ⁶-thieno[2,3-e][1,2]thiazine-1,1,4-trione

C13H11N3O4S2 (337.0190966)

Tenoxicam is only found in individuals that have used or taken this drug. It is an antiinflammatory agent with analgesic and antipyretic properties, and is used to treat osteoarthritis and control acute pain. The antiinflammatory effects of tenoxicam may result from the inhibition of the enzyme cycooxygenase and the subsequent peripheral inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis. As prostaglandins sensitize pain receptors, their inhibition accounts for the peripheral analgesic effects of tenoxicam. Antipyresis may occur by central action on the hypothalamus, resulting in peripheral dilation, increased cutaneous blood flow, and subsequent heat loss. C13H11N3O5S2 (353.0140116)

5-Hydroxytenoxicam is only found in individuals that have used or taken Tenoxicam. 5-Hydroxytenoxicam is a metabolite of Tenoxicam. 5-hydroxytenoxicam belongs to the family of Thienothiazines. These are heterocyclic compounds containing a thiophene ring fused to a thiazine.

Zopiclone

6-(5-Chloro-2-pyridinyl)-7-oxo-6,7-dihydro-5H-pyrrolo[3,4-b]pyrazin-5-yl 4-methyl-1-piperazinecarboxylic acid

C17H17ClN6O3 (388.1050602)

Zopiclone is only found in individuals that have used or taken this drug. It is a novel hypnotic agent used in the treatment of insomnia. Its mechanism of action is based on modulating benzodiazepine receptors. In addition to zopiclones benzodiazepine pharmacological properties it also has some barbiturate like properties. Zopiclone exerts its action by binding on the benzodiazepine receptor complex and modulation of the GABABZ receptor chloride channel macromolecular complex. Both zopiclone and benzodiazepines act indiscriminately at the benzodiazepine binding site on α1, α2, α3 and α5 GABAA containing receptors as full agonists causing an enhancement of the inhibitory actions of GABA to produce the therapeutic (hypnotic and anxiolytic) and adverse effects of zopiclone. C13H10ClN3O4S2 (370.980125)

Lornoxicam (chlortenoxicam) is a new nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) of the oxicam class with analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic properties. Lornoxicam differs from other oxicam compounds in its potent inhibition of prostaglandin biosynthesis, a property that explains the particularly pronounced efficacy of the drug. Lornoxicam is approved for use in Japan. Lornoxicam (Chlortenoxicam) is a highly active COX-1 and COX-2 inhibitor with IC50 of 5 nM and 8 nM respectively. It is a new non-steroidal anti-inflammatory compound.
