Cefprozil

(6R,7R)-7-[(2R)-2-amino-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)acetamido]-8-oxo-3-(prop-1-en-1-yl)-5-thia-1-azabicyclo[4.2.0]oct-2-ene-2-carboxylic acid

C18H19N3O5S (389.1045)

Cefprozil is only found in individuals that have used or taken this drug. It is a cephalosporin antibiotic. It can be used to treat bronchitis, ear infections, skin infections, and other bacterial infections.Cefprozil, like the penicillins, is a beta-lactam antibiotic. By binding to specific penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) located inside the bacterial cell wall, it inhibits the third and last stage of bacterial cell wall synthesis. Cell lysis is then mediated by bacterial cell wall autolytic enzymes such as autolysins; it is possible that cefprozil interferes with an autolysin inhibitor. C18H17ClFN5O2 (389.1055)

CAY10566 is a potent, orally bioavailable and selective stearoyl-CoA desaturase1 (SCD1) inhibitor with IC50s of 4.5 and 26 nM in mouse and human enzymatic assays, respectively. CAY10566 also shows excellent cellular activity in blocking the conversion of saturated long-chain fatty acid-CoAs (LCFA-CoAs) to monounsaturated LCFA-CoAs in HepG2 cells (IC50=7.9 nM or 6.8 nM)[1][2].
