N-Acetylneuraminate 9-phosphate is the 4th to last step in the synthesis of colominate and is converted from N-Acetyl-D-mannosamine-6-phosphate via the enzyme N-Acylneuraminate-9-phosphate synthase (EC 2.5.1.57).
