19alpha-hydroxyasiatic acid is a pentacyclic triterpenoid that is asiatic acid substituted by a hydroxy group at position 19. It has been isolated from the leaves of Rosa laevigata. It has a role as an anti-inflammatory agent and a plant metabolite. It is a pentacyclic triterpenoid, a hydroxy monocarboxylic acid and a tetrol. It is functionally related to an asiatic acid. It derives from a hydride of an ursane.
19Alpha-Hydroxyasiatic Acid is a natural product found in Pyracantha coccinea, Polylepis besseri, and other organisms with data available.
