Betazole is only found in individuals that have used or taken this drug. It is a histamine H2 agonist used clinically to test gastric secretory function. [PubChem]Betazole is a histamine analogue. It produces the same effects as histamine, binding the H2 receptor which is a mediator of gastric acid secretion. This agonist action thereby results in an increase in the volume of gastric acid produced.

Betazole (Ametazole), a pyrazole analogue of histamine, is an orally active histamine H2 receptor agonist. Betazole induces gastric acid secretion and causes an immediate and significant increase in common bile duct pressure. Betazole is used as a diagnostic agent known as histalog for investigating gastric acid secretory capacity[1][2][3].
