Fentin, also known as [sn(OH)PH3] or du-ter, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as benzene and substituted derivatives. These are aromatic compounds containing one monocyclic ring system consisting of benzene. Fentin is considered to be a practically insoluble (in water) and relatively neutral molecule. Fentin participates in a number of enzymatic reactions. In particular, fentin can be biosynthesized from triphenylstannane. Fentin can also be converted into fentin acetate. Fentin is a potentially toxic compound.
